Just submitted a bigger than expected release for Waylist for App Store review. A mix of new things and improvements that bring a bunch of quality of life improvements. Biggest change was to remove maps as backgrounds which saves space and network calls.

Imagine having the greatest player alive in your team and trying to win the World Cup playing like that. Can only take you so far. Argentina need to look around and wonder how they’ll make it this far without Messi.

I think 2014 was the last time I truly backed England at a tournament. Been to see them play 4 times since, but found it hard to get behind them. On reflection, I’ve been overly cynical when it comes to my son. He hasn’t experienced the years of hurt but no need to put that burden on him.

Great deals to be had on the “authentic” kits on the Liverpool store at the moment. Ordered the away kit for myself to wear while running which has somehow become a hobby after not running in my previous 40+ years of being alive! 1/4 of the price is ridiculous

I thought I was a SwiftData convert but finding records getting reverted to older versions when opening my app on different platforms is infuriating with no way to recover that data. Thinking of rolling some features back to avoid the pain but not idea at all.

I don't find 5G brings any advantages in crowded spaces. Even Wembley Stadium (branded with EE mobile logos all over the place) never provides a good connection on data or wifi. I'm going to try 4G (LTE) on my phone and see how it performs/affects the battery. daringfireball.net/linked/2022/...

App Store rejection hit hard today for my best app/game 😬 Will put together a good case for why it is worth being accepted and perhaps it needs a more interactive onboarding flow? Will figure both out tomorrow. 🤞

Renamed an app in Xcode, not for the first time, and had it ready to go in a few minutes in TestFlight. I did go back and rename everything I could so the old name is gone. App Store assets are almost ready to export.

Went a little overboard and added 15 achievements to my next SwiftUI app! Lots of logic to test in the coming days while I think about how to layout the App Store images thinking 🤔
