In a new paper just published in Res Publica, Armin Schäfer and I argue that deliberative responsiveness constitutes a promise representative democracy can and should fulfill. Deschutes County citizens come together for civic assembly
Last fall, 30 Deschutes County residents participated in a civic assembly to brainstorm ideas to address youth homelessness. We'll hear from two participants to learn how it went.
