Finished Mina the Hollower thanks to a bad bout of insomnia. I am so mixed on the game. Lots to love about it, but the combat just doesn't work for me at all. It does get better as you get more tools, but even at its best it still feels like the weakest part of the whole. Spoiler-free review🧵(1/8)

Finally picked up Mina the Hollower over the weekend. There is so much to love about the game, but I am really not enjoying the combat. It's not so bad that I won't finish it, but I really hope it gets better with more tools later

Finally got around to playing Nine Sols and wow do I not understand the hype around this game. Not sure what I expected, I found Sekiro's combat to boring in the same way, but the dialog was not doing it for me and with how linear the progression was calling it a metroidvania feels like a stretch
