Very excited to be playing this celebration of prog at The 1865 in Southampton! I've played this venue so many times under various guises so I can't wait to bring Cephid here. It'll be a full band show alongside some brilliant other acts. See you there! 🔴

These ill-informed comparisons have been made for decades. I dread to think the economic damage that has been done because politicians consistently go for easy soundbites like "we've maxed out the country's credit card" or "there's no magic money tree" instead of having real, adult conversations.

I'm asking John - and indeed all journalists - as a new year resolution to stop comparisons with a national economy and a household budget. How many years have to go by until we can have coherent conversations in the media about the economy? t.co/jIObxTAoeL

It's got to that stage of Christmas where the only thing in the fridge is 70 cocktail sausages. I will surely not regret eating 70 cocktail sausages for lunch.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot today. Evil, greed and selfishness are the lazy options. They require nothing more than base human appetites. Goodness, communality and civility require far more effort and generosity of spirit. There’s just more work involved.

The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting.

If Fred Astaire can encounter someone who doesn't use binary pronouns and then immediately respects that *IN 1935* then you can too.
