Sam and I are continuing to scheme & test things out & we will let folks know when we have something!! Could you reply to THIS with anything you're wondering (or have seen across the internet) about body language? Power poses, postural stuff, weird business or dating or other "hacks," etc.

Ceri and I miss doing SciShow Tangents, so we're testing out ideas for a new project and we need your help! Please reply to this with any questions, misconceptions, rumors, or weird things people say on the internet about dowsing rods (the things people use to find water or talk to ghosts)!

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents. I did it because the government isn’t. This is what I found.

White words on a black background read:

50+
Immigration agents have the authority to detain whom they reasonably suspect are in the country illegally. We found more than 50 Americans who were held after agents questioned their citizenship. They were almost all Latino.

~130
Agents also can arrest citizens who allegedly interfered with or assaulted officers. We compiled cases of about 130 Americans, including a dozen elected officials, accused of assaulting or impeding officers.

~20
Among the citizens detained are nearly 20 children, including two with cancer.

i love scientists. sometimes you just cold email a zebra expert with a wild hypothetical question & hope you don't look dumb & then they write back to you WITHIN 10 MINUTES and say "great question" and validate your weird hypothesis with their much more powerful brain what a freaking rush

now that i don't have a podcast, instead of getting a dumb joke out of my head once (recorded) i say it over and over again to different groups of people in my offline life like a menace who's fueled by the laughter of friends. anyway, i'm trying to get "deep dish pope" to catch on.

It's the last day of #MaxFunDrive! I'm lucky to work with an incredible team to make at least as many different pieces of content as there are days in the week. All of this is made possible by people who want to see content like this in the world, and are able to directly support it.
