Remember folks, Medicare for all is estimated to carry a ten year cost of $32-$40 trillion dollars. The ten year cost of insurance subsidies paid by the US government? $33.6 trillion. Want to know why we don't have universal healthcare? Because they can literally pay our government to not pass it.

Okay, this is getting a bit crazy. Backed a $12 adventure. Shipping? Another $12 with "first class and tracking". So, where is the other $7.50 in shipping costs going? Shipping is expensive, but no, it isn't $12 for 8 oz... When I see things like this, I know to not back anything further.
New song day! Me and some friends recorded this a few years ago and never really got the band back together but I think this track is a real treat to listen to for fans of digestible prog rock theobelisk.net/obelisk/2026...

Finally took a moment to get back into writing film reviews. This one is particularly hard to find outside of eBay, but it worth the hunt. The Dead Inside by @brianclement.com macabremoviemorgue.blogspot.com/2026/06/the-...
The Dead Inside (2005) 💀💀💀½
The Dead Inside is a surprising film in so many ways, beginning with its prior status as essentially being lost media. After being screened ...

@brianclement.com is there any place where I can purchase or screen Dark Paradox?
Just finished Dracula by Moffat & Gatiss. Between this and Jekyll? Universal’s Dark Universe could’ve succeeded with these adaptations instead of Tom Cruise.
Good morning Bluesky! Today, Jen and I get to attend a wedding. It has been a long time since we have attended anything other than a funeral. This will be so wonderful.
Good morning Bluesky! It’s been a while since I was feeling light enough to greet the day. It is nice to be back!
A lovely day. Found something special for a YouTuber that we enjoy and managed to get it to them. Nice to return a little joy to the world. Even got a surprise shout out (No link, because it isn’t about that). It is just about feeling good and having a positive impact. #bringjoyintotheworld
Okay, managed to get about 3,600 words out today for the NEW Bricky zine for Dungeon Con 2. I've gotta have something special for my players, right?!
Writing has ended up on hold this week as I race through other things in preparation for Dungeon Con this weekend. Ah, the life of an author… who can’t get time to write.
Angels, demons, and beings from beyond….. Ugandan DCC RPG author Ashraf Braden has been given a visa for his Gen Con visit!
I had a rough end to the year, an even harder beginning to this one. But finally, the words are flowing again. I'm WAY behind where I've like to be - but I'm getting back on track. I owe about 70k words. I'm going to try to bang all of that out next week... because #WriterGoals
I’ve never heard a triple thunderclap before tonight. I seriously thought that we were taking fire.
Now we wait for up to 30 days to see if Ashraf is granted his visa.
Happy Transgender Day of Visibility! Celebrate and show off your pride with the DCC RPG Tee! goodman-games.com/store/produc... And check out this interview with DJ Foxy and Guys Games and Beer: youtu.be/kXhm2A9BmDY?...

In brighter news, Ashraf has his visa interview on Tuesday. I know that, being from Uganda, the deck is stacked against him right now, but keep him in your thoughts ehh? He earned this Gen Con trip and he really looks forward to meeting the DCC community.
It has been a rough (almost) two weeks since saying goodbye to Vance. I'm getting better at dealing with people again but the latest episode of NCIS really didn't help (IYKYK). We keep moving forward, as we must. Still, his urn should arrive soon, and then it all tears open afresh.
Since early Nov, we've struggled with Vance's health. From battling a stubborn sinus infection, to discovering that there was a viral infection, but also a cancerous tumor in his sinuses, it has eaten my every waking hour - vet visits, medications, feedings... Now, our dear little Vance is gone.
Vance’s race is run, we say goodbye tomorrow. I cannot imagine this house without him…it will be so empty.
The Old Fitz has a growing wall of first responder patches. The patch of a firefighter who lost his life at Ground Zero just went up… Holy ground indeed.
Good friends, great music, and the Old Fitz, just what I need to clear my thoughts for a bit.
Waiting for the river in Marion to be dyed green for the first time in its history. Then off to hear Dan the Bard at the Old Fitz!
There are days when it is really difficult to keep ANY place as my happy place.
