Furthermore, contrary to Dundon claiming 'we aren't spending any time on moving,' sabotaging negotiations until the city surrenders their recourse to you moving the team, is in fact, spending fucking time on moving.

Dundon is worried about this ability for the city to suit him, because his game has always been to move the team. The "first-class standard" is the city's ability to prevent him doing so. I truly hope this mess Dundon is making convinces Jody not to sell the remaining 20% to him. But probably not.
