The more we replay how someone wronged us, the more real it feels, even when the wrong lived mostly in our imagination. Next time a grudge loops in your head, ask if you're remembering it or rewriting it.
Feels like everyone has been emotionally on edge lately. Remember, you're not feeling things for "no reason". There's a reason, even if you're unaware of it. Accept and acknowledge it, even when it doesn't feel good, and things will right themselves soon.

This, entirely. One of my original works, NONE of the aliens are bipedal. Many of them don't speak with a voice, many of them don't see/sense light the same way, some come from ecosystems that are very simple, so they have a single food/energy source, etc. Then there's lack of multiple cultures...
