The UK never repeated The Goodies like the ABC here did. It was so awesome to see them come here and be treated like the rock stars they were. 40 yr old women going gaga over them. Including me. I adored Bill, including the whole birding thing. Met him twice. He let me kiss his cheek & was so sweet.

Big understatement how big the goodies were for me and Australians my age. While it only ran once in the uk it was on repeats all thought the 80s and 90s in Australia. They were comedy hero’s not to mention Bill would write a new song per episode as well. www.independent.co.uk/arts-enterta...

I’m so sad Bill Oddie left us. He was sick for some time and I wrote to him. He auditioned me for The Pembroke Revue in 1963 and I stepped into his roles for The Edinburgh Festival when the Cambridge Footlights went to the West End. We watched England win the World Cup together at Wembley in ‘66.
