Ex-prof, but still in with a shout on language, interaction etcetera

Just heard a presenter (not a guest) on a Radio 4 programme use the term "social construct" in a meaningful way; first time I think that I've come across it broadcast. If so then it's taken 60 years since Berger & Luckman. Much slower uptake than e.g. Festinger's "cognitive dissonance".

This should be really good! Wiggins has a talent for clear, sharp and entertaining writing, and is probably the world's authority on social interaction around meal times and other occasions when people eat together.

Upcoming book on 'Researching children's mealtimes' due out in October and aimed at researchers across the social sciences interested in interactional analyses of children's eating in everyday settings. Perfect for #EMCA, DP, & language socialisation research. www.routledge.com/Researching-...

Linköping University is an ideal venue for ICCA in 2030. There is a wonderful EM/CA team there, the campus is modern and well-resourced, and the city itself is easy to get to from Stockholm for those coming from abroad. Congrats to @profsalwiggins.bsky.social & colleagues for hosting.
