Two things can be true simultaneously: The Dodgers are literally in another league financially and probably that needs fixing and Skubal in particular is going to be a Dodger because MLB has a lot of cheap-ass owners who reliably trade away talent the moment the talent is due to get paid.
I am begging you not to believe gazillionaire baseball owners when they tell you Skubal going to the Dodgers means we need a salary cap. Competitive balance is not the reason they want a salary cap. They just want to spend less, and with more predictability, on total payroll. That is all.
