Collaboration is at the core of how we work at Revisual Labs. Over the years, we've worked with journalists, designers, illustrators, developers, writers, data analysts, and the like. And every collaboration has resulted in outputs that are incredibly special.
June was a landmark month for us at RVL—our studio officially turned 3 years old! 🎂 We had a lot to talk about last month, with 9,319 messages exchanged on Slack—a 59% increase in chatter from May. We balanced 8 running projects, of which we wrapped up 3.
This was #VizChitra2026! 2 days, 600+ community members, Bengaluru & online. Our first sold-out conference! Thank you for showing up, sharing so openly, and making VizChitra a little bigger, a little warmer, and a lot better than we had initially dreamed. Until next time! 💙

How does one visualise transformation driven by collaboration between multiple stakeholder groups? Our solution was to turn it into a puzzle! As part of a recent project with the Consortium for Agroecological Transformations (CAT), we created a series of puzzles that map out the ecosystem of change.

Today, @vonter.bsky.social and I launched cbfc.watch, an archive of over 100k censorship records for ~18k movies released in India since 2017. For the first time, you can search for any movie and see how they were modified before release. The site is fun to explore, but here's some #dataviz in it!

In data visualization design, we often assume the goal is to minimise the effort required to 'see' the data. And that adding support a title and annotation is the route to memorability. But sometimes making something more effortful achieves memorability and understanding more effectively...
