Many of us are in rage and in mourning. If you need a moment of courage and hope, I recommend reading your favorite scholarship in the field. I’m reading the Adequate collection edited by @timothyoleksiak.bsky.social and @joshuabarsczewski.bsky.social which is giving me so much life!!!

CCCC is my disciplinary home. It’s how I see myself entering the discipline, how I made so many friends in this country as a lone immigrant. I researched about it in my dissertation. I am speechless. This is an erasure of an entire intellectual body of work.
A couple hours ago, I woke up to messages about CCCC being dissolved and absorbed into NCTE's College Section. I don't know what this means for the 2027 conference, but I do know it'll be different, if it's held at all.
Is anyone planning to propose to WRAB on program/curriculum design while navigating different tensions: disciplinary, political, institutional? We need at least one more person on a panel. Maybe some of you got inspired at #4C26 ?
i have updated my anti-ai resource list to include a tab full of memes and social posts people can share (including ai fails, posts with analysis and framing) as well as a tab about taking action. i'm open to suggestions if people have ideas for things i should add: docs.google.com/document/d/1...
