I also genuinely think that being able to separate "I don't like it" and "it's bad" - or at least understand that the distinction exists - is an important skill not even for an artist, but for any person.

had a table at a pride event this weekend and i can't stop thinking about the dude next to us who seemed decent enough until he bragged about his AI-generated flyers and said to my face "now you don't have to hire a graphic artist anymore!" ... to the person with the drawn art stand??? hello???

Fix your hearts or die. You know how many of us joke that Pride month should be followed by Wrath? This year I feel a deep, burning fury towards all who use transgender lives as political propaganda. We are human beings. You cannot erase us. Happy Pride. Trans liberation at any cost. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

Please Please Please Do not take Artfight too seriously. It's a non-obligatory gifting game. The points don't matter, it's all made up. Whether or not you get "traffic" on tiktok or whatever doesn't matter, all that matters is if the person you're gifting to likes it. And they should like it.

I will not accept an argument that art and creativity have been uniquely democratised in the last few years since the invention of genAI. What a disservice to human history. How little regard you must have for the billions of souls that struggled through unimaginable suffering to express themselves.
