Welsh Kiwi. Nice ear lobes. I often talk nonsense on @stillanygood.bsky.social
I can remember exactly what I was doing this time 16 years ago. (No, I wasn't holding a random baby. I became a father for the first time)
Unlike real cats, who bury their shit, Ricky puts his on Netflix.
"It's the first thing I've ever created that I'd like to go on forever". Ricky Gervais introduces Alley Cats, his new animated sitcom which launches on Netflix on Friday. www.comedy.co.uk/tv/alley-cat...

Welcome to the CAMBRIAN FECAL REVOLUTION. We didn't name it the Cambrian fecal explosion for obvious reasons. I'm happy to share this paper on fecal matter and its role in Cambrian ecosystems. So if you want to read a really shitty paper (50 days free access): authors.elsevier.com/a/1nYg8cZ3X7...
Normally, in preparation for a @stillanygood.bsky.social recording, I watch the film at least twice so I can enjoy it all the way through, then pause to make notes. Spoiler: I just sent this message to my co-host.
If Lynda La Plante can't drive, she won't be able to write classics like this. youtu.be/v_1Hyy7Tb1c?...

And then his poor brother drowned while the camp counsellors were making love. So sad.
Absolutely love this story ❤ #jaws
🎶 Goooooldacre ... He's the man, the man who's got some front, Defends dead cunts .... 🎶
If, at the end of my life, I've done just a fraction of the awful things that wank-stain said and did, please feel free to call me a cunt when I'm dead.
If you can’t think of anything nice to say, I believe there’s a vacancy at The Spectator.
People always say 'the best things in life are free', but I think that's nonsense. Yesterday I got a bottle of HP Sauce and it cost $4.99

I'm always sad when I hear about paedo-promoting, wife-beating bigots. But I guess we all have different levels of tolerance.
Sad to see people posting on social media negatively about Rod Liddle, who died yesterday. If I have disagreed with you very strongly in life - and you die - I hope I'll be either silent, or kind.
"Well known for Twilight Zone: The Movie" works on a few levels, doesn't it.
🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John Landis, turning 76 today (August 3, 1950)! Well known for classic Horror/Sci-Fi films like "Schlock" (1973), "An American Werewolf in London" (1981), "Twilight Zone: The Movie" (1983), "Innocent Blood" (1992) & two episodes of the TV series "Masters of Horror" (2005/2006)!
Can someone with ridiculously good telly knowledge please help me out. Was it Roger Kitter that hilariously had a Yorkshire Terrier called "Tit-Bits", which I'm guessing was meant to be a piss-take of Schnorbitz?
Talking about face transplants in sitcomland and this is probably one of the worst. Replace someone who worked under Ken Campbell? You can't!
without downloading new pics what's it like dating you?

You'll be stunned to hear that I think it's: George Best Bizarro Seamonsters (Tommy and the Ukrainian sessions don't count as they're compilations)
What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
I initially thought this can't be true. Then I remembered I saw this just after my 10th birthday, and I'm 55 next week.
Raiders of the Lost Ark came out in 1981, but was set in 1936 - a difference of 45 years. If they made the film today, the same time difference would mean it would be set in 1981.
I've been watching The Stand again. Yes, I laughed at this bit again.
"Earlier on today, apparently, a young man rang the BBC and said he heard it was always going to rain on him. Well, Fran, if you're watching, don't worry, it won't."

The Fly was the first 18 I ever went to see at the cinema, when I'd just turned 15. I stood on my tiptoes and pretended to chew gum at the box office, to try and look more grown up.
Earlier this week, I released my article on one of my favorite films of all-time, THE FLY, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this month. I tried to put a lot of love into this, so I thought I'd share it again: from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/summer-of-mo... Open to free & paid subs.
Peter Sellers. Graphite on paper. 2026. Next I'll have a go at drawing a lady. I've seen a few around and about so I reckon it should be easy. #portrait #petersellers #classiccomedy
