Kenya ventured out of the barn this morning and made her way to Club Mud, the mud wallow in the African enclosure. The barn remains open, giving her the freedom to return whenever she feels the need for comfort or security. Watch this morning's full video: youtu.be/LuAE6dl-cnU

These elephants were killed with the help of Kilombero North Safaris in Tanzania, who say "we hunt for the thrill", and cater for bloodthirsty trophy hunters from the USA. At the same time, while they enable the slaughter of magnificent elephants, they proclaim to "fight poaching". Find the fault.

We have information that the 2 killed Super Tuskers are not Amboseli elephants. This is not a cross-border issue. The hunt took place in southern Tanzania. Nevertheless, 2 large bulls are now missing from the reproductive chain. #NotYourTrophy #SuperTuskersTZ #BanTrophyHunting

On 1st July, 16-year-old Kalama gave birth to a baby girl, who we’ve named Kapuki. As is tradition among many of our ex-orphans, she chose to return ‘home’ after giving birth, so we could meet her new daughter. Here’s mum and calf, alongside Chaimu — another ex-orphan — visiting us this morning!
