Given the chancellor couldn't even bring himself to mention queer/LGBTQ+ in his statement (merely "Menschen"), there's a real whiff of Orlando here. This attack happened because queer people were targeted. For being queer. If you refuse to mention that, you're part of the problem.

At some point you're going to feel really silly for getting angry at kids glueing themselves to the road.
I will never understand why people are cool with wasps crawling over goods in German bakeries. "You can't stop them" - they manage it in every other country I've been to. "They're actually not as dirty as flies" - they inhabit bins. "They don't transmit pathogens" - that's nonsense.

Rent controls are a basic thing in Germany. If this concept which exists under conservative governments is too socialist for Andy Burnham, then what exactly is he giving you that's different from Starmer except a northern accent, a social media account and the ability to drink a pint normally?

What's sorta funny is that libel law tends to very much rely on the concept of the burden of truth - i.e. if someone says something about someone then that person must prove it to be so. It is not the burden of the subject to prove it isn't so. So actually this example is pretty apt.

Ok hear me out: I really hate that smart glasses have basically become the reserve of perverts and assholes. Why? Because I would love to be able to do my studying, some of my working, some reading, etc whilst I'm on the go. Neurodivergent things... I don't want to be able to film people.
