hello I need music recommendations, ideally k-pop, for a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old who are obsessed with K-Pop Demon Hunters (as well as their various parents, who need a break from the -- admittedly, pretty good -- soundtrack)

Based on MLB Pipeline rankings, the Dodgers gave up only their 5th, 7th, and 17th best prospects for Skubal. Plus, they'll pay him roughly $11 million. Other teams were gutless, that's all it is.

Everyone's comparing Nolan's Odyssey to Homer, but I think there's much more richness The ancient Greeks adapted the Odyssey into ART While these images might appear static to us, I want to walk through how an ancient Greek saw art: AS DYNAMIC STORYTELLING like our films 1/13

this gets at one of the funniest problems w/ superhero comics right now: writers, artists and even many readers are aware the united states has problems, but the genre's interconnected and conservative soap opera world cannot meaningfully address those problems w/out breaking the world

a little bit of personal lore: my culture writing career began with a cranky blog about spider-man. for Fansplaining, I imagine the end of that career, with another blog about spider-man fansplaining.com/what-spider-...

i know everyone has been dying for my take on emily wilson's review of nolan's odyssey and so here it is. it should be an embarrassment to whoever edited it. when a writer files copy like that, you should know how controversial it will be and go above and beyond to help them shore up their take.

*whispers* you know we can do this cultural debate about art thing all the time, right? Websites and news organizations used to have culture critics on staff whose entire job was writing about books, movies, and TV. People read them and then discussed them. We have the technology to do this again.

so I just want to emphasize something here that non-media people might not pick up on: Marisa is an independent journalist and is taking on the risk of being sued by Moraff here without any institutional backing. That's admirable bravery - and also means being very, very certain of the facts.

Exclusive from me — Daniel Moraff, one of the political operatives behind Graham Platner's rise and fall, has been accused of sexual assault. Full story here:

as a teen in the late '90s the only places I remember finding anime were Suncoast Video (where they'd card you if you tried to buy it) and the Indie Video Store where you'd go to rent stuff like Troma flicks and episodes of The Prisoner, neither of which I'd call "cool" or "mainstream"

I normally get my RPGs as PDFs these days, because I can't afford and don't have space for nice hardcovers, but I made an exception for Blades '68. Copy just arrived and I have no regrets. Beautiful book; can't wait to get this to the table (assuming I ever get to GM again).

150,000 marched yesterday in London for trans rights. Opened the Sky News app. Scrolled and scrolled. Nothing. BBC News app. Nothing. Guardian app. Nothing. This is what actual silencing looks like.

Wile E. Coyote, despaired, takes a bucket of paint and a brush and paints a beautiful two-bedroom house on a mountainside. He paints a beautiful coyote wife in the window, and two adorable coyote kids running around in the yard. He tries to enter this new coyote life, but it is inaccessible to him
