I wish the Max Miller story was less framed as “look at how Republicans are hypocrites” and more “once again powerful people clearly knew of a horrific level of abuse being performed to somebody and obviously chose not to care about until it became a political liability.”

OBVIOUSLY if Mitch McConnell is in a REHAB hospital doing rehab after his fall he is talking to MANY therapists and doing MANY exercises, and it would be TRIVIAL for @govandybeshear.bsky.social to stop by and talk to him for 30 SECONDS right? RIGHT?!? #MitchIsDead
Remember this, if McConnell is declared dead, @govandybeshear.bsky.social can appoint a replacement, no special election necessary. He is given that power by Kentucky's constitution. Full Stop. Yes, there is a law that says he can CRS 63.200, but it is unconstitutional, always has been.
Since people will say "Who could have known?" etc about Mitch McConnell's death I'm going to put this out here, a week before August 3rd, and y'all and if he somehow recovers I'll donate $100 to what ever hospital treated him. I assert that on August 4th we will be told Mitch has "succumbed." A 🧵

I am always amused when some guy, and it is always a guy, confidently comments on something which simultaneously demonstrates that they no absolutely nothing about the subject they are commenting on, and that no one in their circle of friends has ever called them on it.
