Not Lovin' It!

“Each creation takes years to complete, and each is a masterwork. But patrons who have commissioned caves have cut off nearly all of his projects due to artistic differences." Looking around like “Yea, Ra this is beautiful… are those giant pairs of testicles surrounded by pentagrams?” “Yes.”

a look inside ra paulette's hand dug luminous caves in new mexico

for over ten years, ra paulette has been hiking into the wilderness to work on his opus magnum, a series of caves scraped and dug entirely on his own.

With the amount of things I see everyday which ultimately recommend a “call your rep or congressperson if you don’t want to see this atrocity or extreme violation of rights continue” feels like I should just have a “send to congressperson” button, is overwhelming.

Had a friend ask me if the cyclospora outbreak is coming from poorly treated workers, pooping in the field. And while it can't be ruled out entirely, the truth is far more complicated and more nuanced. It's almost certainly not that. This article does a great job explaining the full story.

It’s The Water Likely Driving Cyclospora Outbreaks

Contaminated irrigation or processing water is more likely the source of the Cyclospora outbreak. There are many systemic failures, outlined here.

having now seen the odyssey, i think the only way to view the reactionary freak out over it is to see it a victory for normal ppl everywhere. if you’re so brain poisoned that you can’t enjoy *that* time at the movies then i think you’ve already lost whatever war you think you’re fighting

I saw the new The Ghost in the Shell last night. It’s exactly as described. Very accurate to the manga, to the point of even keeping in the incoherencies and non-sequiturs. Where that approach really shines, is in the presentation of the art style and animation, which is simply jaw dropping.

Its very weird that all the kids are like nothing matters except looking good! By which I mean, its not weird at all given that they have all grown up with social media, a platform that rewards you based on looks and popularity.

I'll admit, there's something awesome about the American spirit of loving big explosions and being like fuck yeah!! And I would feel better about defending that spirit a lot more if there weren't so many Americans with rotten takes about everything else.

It annoys me so much that NYC and CA have created this situation by absolutely banning flavored vapes so that the only viable solution is for smoke shops to carry disposables. This is instead of having all the accessories and juices that meant you didn't have to buy a wasteful and hazardous device.

Don’t Trash Your Old Vapes. NYC’s Volunteer Recyclers Want Them.

Hazardous disposal vapes are everywhere and can’t go in the garbage. These New Yorkers have made it their mission to lay them to rest properly.

There is a certain site where one can acquire movies, and also leave comments and reviews. It's irresistible to chuds and incels, who can't help but leave their comments about anything different from their understanding. What could be more post-truth than being too lazy to look up post-truth?

A comment left on a movie d/l site for the documentary D is for Distance, saying "Age of post-truth? Was everyone telling the truth before this period? These funny terminologies amuse me."
