I just watched Shane Gillis' monologue from last night's SNL episode. Not only is he NOT funny; his "jokes" were ugly and misogynistic. Clearly, his "big fat b*tch" sisters did an awful job of teaching him how to respect women. SNL needs to do better!
Most of us were introduced to Christopher Columbus through a Bugs Bunny cartoon ("Hare We Go", 1951) before grade school. While the cartoon made him look stupid, it hardly went far enough to condemn his behavior. There was no "discovery". Indigenous peoples lived here already.
