Capturing the world I live in and supporting charity through photography.
A new building in the City to photograph, and whilst it doesn’t have curves and glass, I do like the bold lines which work equally well when playing around with different tones. #sharemondays2026 #myweeklyphoneimage
"The posts still lean, though now their leaning feels more fully understood." There is wisdom in resilience that bends rather than resists. Perhaps creativity asks something similar of us? Spiorad aird nam Murchan Pt.31 | Creativity V - Flow: www.rkphotographic.com/blog/2026/7/... #Ardnamurchan
The point of no return… The last few weeks have been spent by the coast, little photography in the summer months but I didn’t get the odd shot here and there. The area we visited has several tidal pools which make for lovely subjects. #sharemondays2026 #myweeklyphoneimage
Something for the weekend… The combination of the hard straight line of the harbour walls leading you onto the jaggy flexible nature of the coastline.
'Enlightenment' I'll be discussing this image and many more at the Wex Video & Photo roadshow in Glasgow. September 11th, 12-1pm. Tickets are free but you need to reserve a spot as space is limited. See comment below for link. #Photography #Scotland
Something different for a Sunday. My local park in the city takes on a very different guise when the mist descends, the atmosphere changes, gone is the city skyline and you are left wondering what is around the corner.
An image from back in February that got left behind, so here it is today. #photography #monochrome #blackandwhite #bnw
One of the benefits of being up at crazy o'clock this time of year is when its nice it can be really nice. Passed these lovely little skirts of mist curling through the trees and had to stop for a moment. #Sharemondays2026 #Scotland #photography #LeicaQ343
Tracing the past, the remains of yesterday, torn from the wall. I walk past this nearly every day and have seen it both alive and dead and have wanted to try and capture it as I see it. It has taken time to produce an edit which I believe works. #myweeklyphoneimage #sharemondays2026
The power of the sea. I could never tire of photographing the movement of the water, every wave unique.
Had a great day out with @andrewsgray.bsky.social last week. Was great to get out again #sharemondays2026
A last minute rush on Sunday afternoon and when that’s the case I try walking different routes from normal to see what I see! There was a hazy rain which muted the skyline and I liked this composition, urban meets rural, a lovely contrast from the dark trunk. #myweeklyphoneimage #sharemondays2026
Worth going along to hear Dylan talk about his work…
Looking forward to taking part in and sharing some stories & images at the Wex Video Roadshow, Glasgow on 11th September 2026. Links below to have a look at everyone that'll be there to give some fascinating talks, with great deals on offer from all the top brands. #Photography
WIP Weekend Returning from Harris 9 months ago, I have recently started looking through some of my 1,800 photos. I never look at my photos immediately, I have preconceived ideas in my head but I with the passage of time I find that my thoughts and reality move towards each other and meet.
Zig Zag Back and forth across the snowy field, the stone wall creating separation.
Above the clouds, this weeks phone image comes from 33,000 feet. Some beautiful light and interesting patterns catching my eye. #myweeklyphoneimage #sharemondays2026
WIP Weekend Another photograph I have been working on, this time from my Guide Lines series. A little different from the others in the series with the a more clearly defined horizon. I have reduced the contrast on the fence posts and this is something I’ve still deliberating.
WIP Weekend Seeing these ‘claws’ on a beach in Ross-shire immediately made me think of David Attenborough describing a grizzly or polar bear. #bnw_greatshots #bnwminimalismmag #incredible_minimal #minimal_perfection #bw_perfect
Crossing Cycling along the river, there are many beautiful bridges, pedestrian, vehicle and train. This one particularly stands out, the strong bold blacks of the bridge standing out against the summer foliage of the trees. #myweeklyphoneimage #sharemondays2026
And the winning image this week for #sharemondays2026 is Lizzie’s @ledarville.bsky.social photograph from her train journey. Congratulations and good luck judging next week!
This is always much harder than you think it will be, but here are my top four this week for #sharemondays2026. @ledarville.bsky.social @dylannardini.com @dmrippin.bsky.social @stevepalmer.photography Winning photograph to follow!!!
Tunnel Vision The strong lines leading you down the tunnel, a clinical feeling from the brightness. I’m looking forward to judging this weeks #sharemondays2026 competition. #myweeklyphoneimage
Always a pleasure when your work is selected by a fellow photographer. Thank you @andrewatkinson.bsky.social and I look forward to judging next week’s #sharemondays2026.
As usual the high standard of entries for #sharemondays2026 makes thing really difficult. However we have to have a winner. This week it’s @circa35mm.bsky.social with his simple minimalistic image in Black & White.
Never an easy choice but here are my 4 finalists for #sharemondays2026 @circa35mm.bsky.social @sarahlonges.bsky.social @mchardy.bsky.social @dmrippin.bsky.social
The Light I thought I had my weekly phone image done and dusted in the middle of the week but on Saturday I captured this whilst out at an event. Something very different from me when you look at recent work. #myweeklyphoneimage #sharemondays2026
