Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother is such a special movie, I saw it two nights in a row. I love to watch Mahershala Ali work because he’s so breathtakingly beautiful and expressive and he brought something so amazing to this film. The cinematography is gorgeous and looks stunning on the big screen

wrote on saturday that trump was not going to let democrats avoid the question of impeachment and here we are with an offense that would have had a president impeached, removed and *at least* exiled if it had happened at any point prior to now.
no coming back from this without punishing the entire chain of command from the officers carrying out this shit to the people at the top giving the orders

I do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...

I had a first date with a guy last night who wore a Dr. Pepper t-shirt, let me pay for my own food, ordered chicken tenders and told me that I should know he is “snipped” “in case this blossoms into a relationship” 😐

9/11 could have been a moment for the country to pause and consider how the costs of maintaining a global empire meant supporting regimes like the House of Saud. Instead, it became the moment in which the empire began to turn inward--which eventually grew into the fascism we're experiencing today.
This is the "Charlie Brown had hoes" of the center now. You didn't experience this. It didn't happen. This wasn't real.
But that feeling of a shared bond among all Americans in the early weeks after the attack is something I’m so glad I got to experience. Because it’s the thing that I think we’re missing the most today.
