Turns out this was wrong and they never did drop below it…
For the first time in about a year, the %age of bills urgent has dropped below 50%, with an all time peak of 58%. Budget is normally passed urgently, so this may not be true after this week. Source @nzpt.cjs.nz #nzpol #aonz
Although parliament is still sitting for budget related urgency, here are the latest urgency stats (57% OF BILLS URGENT!). If you are curious why the stats are so much higher, keep reading this thread, I have something to admit ⤵️ #nzpol #aonz 🧵 1/x Source: @nzpt.cjs.nz

I’m sure today’s budget will fix this as operating expenditures are expected to increase despite cuts
Happy Budget Day Urgency will be used to pass the budget as with every other year - this is normal

Imagine being so bad at your job that the only way to 'balance the books' is to take money from poor people.
Urgency Tracker: Again the urgency tracker has decided to stop working. Here’s the current plan: - A patch for the urgency tracker should be out today, with the tracker returning to normal from next sitting day. - A new tool is in the works that tracks the Hansard for more than just urgency. 1/x

It has been a week and the Parliamentary Service have reformatted the way their sites work again. This is getting suspiciously repetitively coincidental.
Since NZPT first went public, small changes to the Parliament website have rendered many civic-tech applications useless. I’ve written a blog post about this in order to air my frustrations and concerns, and I’m sharing here in case anyone is curious. #AoNZ #NZPol #NZPT
I don’t normally write blog posts so excuse the poor writing, but I feel it is an important enough issue to share. Feel free to share this, or provide feedback, and if anyone knows someone at the Parliamentary Service who may have answers, please reach out #nzpol

#nzpol it’s been a long two working days but I’m sure they’ll get back to me soon…
I didn’t include in the blog post, but I first raised this issue to the Parliamentary Services on January 5th and have not had any acknowledgment since. It seems despite their website saying two business days, they just ignore the email.
