Pubic Service Announcement The Vagina Museum is trans inclusive. Always has been, always will be. Today the new EHRC Code of Practice comes into effect. Let us be clear, the guidance changes nothing about how we operate.

Being a church treasurer must be an insane job because sometimes she's using our hardship find to help really vulnerable people secure housing, and sometimes she's checking receipts for bottles of wine that we're gonna turn into Jesus, and sometimes she's asking me why I've bought the church an axe.
The curse of being a church treasurer is that sometimes you get to do something that really helps someone out and sometimes you say something that makes you sound like George Osborne
Grab a friend. Go on an adventure. Be reminded that the world is so big and so beautiful and we are but very small parts of it.
The weirdest thing about elections in NZ isn’t the level of political corruption, it’s how everyone thinks there isn’t any. If you regulated election spending the entire right wing of NZ politics would evaporate overnight.
Today's artist without a (known) birthday: Jacob van Hulsdonck, still-life painter of Antwerp. Here, from around 1620, wild strawberries in a wan-li bowl. And a carnation.
Truly, NZ's panoply of fusion pies is a practical everyday proof that migration is great and we need more migrants, not fewer, to unlock the full potential of the pie
Winston Peters relentlessly dodged answering Lawrence Xu-Nan's very precise questions inviting him to stand by his racist outburst in the House last week. What a snivelling coward. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Unemployment at its highest level for 11 years, did I see? And THAT INCLUDES THE COVID AND LOCKDOWN TIMES. Thanks to the Ardern government that protected jobs and businesses at the time.
Well now I’m confused. If a tank comes rolling past will it mean there’s an invasion or just Luxon on his way to a fundraiser?
I think I have to use my cat’s nonplussed stare of judgement as a reaction meme

Hello NZ govt 👋, maybe this is a better approach than building more prisons & punishing beneficiaries? Hard to argue with the numbers #nzpol
Good morning Bluesky ☀️ My grandad told me he saw the Titanic - from the outset he warned all the people that the ship would sink, but nobody listened to him. He knew he was right and didn't give up. He warned them again & again, until eventually they kicked him out of the cinema.
@foxylustygrover.bsky.social Foxy! Great to see you here! Hope you are feeling better.
Grade A nutball here. Taking away his guns is the least they can do. “God has now ordered me to use my apostolic authority to unleash the angelic strike-force from heaven on these organisations and people.”
News story here. I'm glad police are investigating, because the chance of this insanity getting out of hand seems very evident. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/police-in...

At some point we — all of us — have to have a serious conversation about priorities. We can't just keep squeezing corporate profits out of everything and insisting everyone just make do somehow.

Today is the day the story There Will Come Soft Rain is set. An amazing and heartbreaking work of fiction for our modern age. Read it here:
There’s so much slop being passed around on here. I try not to RT any photo or video that wasn’t personally taken by the poster, or backed up by a link to a credible source if it’s news. Depressing situation.
Permanently Disabled kids shouldn’t have to face a future living on a benefit that’s not enough to survive on, where bi-yearly they have to prove they still have an incurable condition. That’s not a future they deserve, it’s dehumanising, it’s depressing & it’s unacceptable. They have worth. #nzpol
