I disagree. Le Pen hasn’t instigated a coup d’état. Meloni does not have track record of openly racist remarks. And Orbán accepted his electoral defeat. Not to say that Europeans would no longer vote for these leaders if they did, but we simply don’t know yet. Trump is much more extremist!

Tl;dr: Americans have trouble understanding there is ~nothing unique about Trump. He is part of the broad wave of far right parties/politicians since 2008 across rich democracies. Our institutions just suck more. Europeans have trouble understanding there is ~nothing unique about Trump. See above.

Spain has not publicly blamed Morocco and is still trying to figure out a possible motive. Some theories point to Pedro Sánchez's recent visit to Algeria, a Spanish draft law to grant citizenship to 70,000 Sahrawis, and tensions over who should host the 2030 World Cup final.

Here is the World Ocean Floor Panorama that Marie Tharp and Bruce Heezen produced in 1977. Only one printer in the US could handle such a large job. It was painted by Heinrich Berann, who was famous for his landscapes. (5/n) Image: Marie Tharp Maps LLC, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

A large, color relief map of Earth, showing features both above and below sea level. A prominent ridge runs along the ocean floor. It starts near Greenland, winds down between South America and Africa, curves into the Indian Ocean, then doubles back along itself to pass below Australia and into the Pacific. It appears to end near Baja California.

Geologist Marie Tharp was born #OTD in 1920. She built the first accurate map of the Atlantic Ocean floor, discovering the Mid-Atlantic Ridge that provided evidence for seafloor spreading and plate tectonics. 🧪 👩‍🔬 Image: Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory

Black and white photo of Marie Tharp adding detail to a large map of the sea floor , which is probably 6ft x 3ft. She is wearing a dark sweater over a white, collared blouse, and holding a pen in her right hand.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on The Long Game: “Putin is not really capable of a running-start invasion of NATO. “What he's capable of is some kind of provocation that, in their mind, would show East Europeans that NATO is pathetic and would not react. “We would react.”

schwer.

Du wirst in deiner Erziehungsarbeit an Grenzen kommen.
