Great thread. Solutions do exist for London's terraced homes. If local authorities choose to take them. This will be particularly interesting to spatial planners. Doughnut Economics - providing society's needs within the planet's limits - should b the purpose of the English National Planning Policy Framework. It isn't. Successive UK Governments have promoted GDP growth that fails on both objectives.

A thought provoking article that links #DoughnutEconomics to Strategic Spatial Planning and explores how this is done in Amsterdam. Possibly best read from the end first (the practical description of Amsterdam) for spatial planners. Doughnut Economics is 'growth agnostic'. Degrowth is one option.
