A bunch of election conspiracy theorists have been posting up outside of libraries filming voters as they return their early ballots and claiming they are "mules" or "ballot stuffing." One post went viral on Twitter, despite not showing any illegal activity, prompting this from the commissioner:

Election Commissioner Responds to False
and Misleading Social Media Post

Lincoln —The Election Commission was made aware that a member of a malicious conspiracy theorist group recorded a video of a young man on a skateboard returning his ballot and shared it on social media on Saturday, November 2nd. They erroneously implied he was doing something wrong.
We reviewed our surveillance footage of the ballot drop box and were able to identify the voter when we retrieved his ballot. They have a video of a young man returning his ballot for his first Presidential Election. He took a selfie to memorialize this important milestone in his life.
“It is shameful and unAmerican to intimidate and threaten anyone for exercising their right to vote” said Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen.
We were concerned about the voter’s safety when we realized commentors on the social media posts were threatening to harm him. We contacted the Lincoln Police Department, and they reached out to the voter.
“It is unfortunate this group is spreading false and misleading information to deceive the public and undermine confidence in our elections.” Commissioner Wiltgen stated
“They should remove the post and apologize immediately.”
Individuals who have questions should contact the Election Commissioner’s Office at (402) 441-7311.

Wow, the Guardian journalists who just yesterday published about the network of race scientists getting funding from tech CEOs just broke another story that this group has accessed UK Biobank data without authorization. This is seriously bad for the integrity of science & a massive failure by UKBB

"We thought we knew how Voyager would end. The instruments would shut off, one by one.  The signal would get fainter.  Eventually either the last instrument would fail for lack of power, or the signal would be lost. We didn’t expect that it would go mad."

Clark, PNAS 2023 (C23) argued that people’s social status is largely determined by genetic variation. Here, we show these claims are unsubstantiated & that C23 tells us nothing about the contribution of genetics to status @jedidiahcarlson.com @arbelharpak.bsky.social www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
