When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.

Can we normalise remembering how terrible Bush was? Clinton, too. Trump is terrible, but much of what makes him terrible was baked into the GOP for decades. And Clinton will execute someone suffering from mental deficiencies for political gain.

Rebranding a hallucination as a ‘critical confabulation’ that can fill archival gaps is a big no from me.

The amount that Elon Musk, humanity's first trillionaire, spent to get Trump elected is more than double what all British political parties spent during the entire 2024 General Election period (£94.5 million).

If you've written something for an edited collection but you come to believe the collection won't come to fruition, can you submit the paper to a journal? What if it's already been cited? I'd like to submit something that I've had for about a decade but not sure what the practice is here.

It's an objective fact that Elon Musk is a mass murderer. He intentionally caused the deaths of millions of people. There's no caveats to this, no alternative explanations, no defenses, no missing context; that was the sole reason for doing what he did.

Speaking of. Why do epistemologists say that the alternatives to belief are suspension (or something similar) and disbelief? Is it not possible to believe p and also to believe ~p? Shouldn't the alternatives be believing p and not believing p? (And believing ~p and not believing ~p)?

Going to a philosophy conference in September and cannot wait. All my mates and former colleagues posting their pics at lakes or castles their or flyers with all the brilliant talks listed and I want to scream. All this fun seems like its coming from an alternate universe.
