In exactly a week, the Inglorious Twelfth begins. It's the start of grouse-shooting season, when hundreds of thousands of red grouse are shot down for sport. Moorlands have been burned and predators killed to boost grouse numbers, all so a few can shoot them for kicks.
Hunts all over the country will be gearing up to head out and kill foxes for the cub hunting season. Please be vigilant and if you have any information regarding a hunt near you, please contact your local hunt saboteur group www.huntsabs.org.uk/local-groups/
This copse is on land where the Heythrop Hunt are known to hunt. This particular footage was captured by Three Counties Hunt Sabs last summer.
Earlier this year Alex Thompson, Chief Correspondent for Channel 4, did a report on illegal fox hunting and how 'trail' hunting is merely a smokescreen. Part of this report featured men known to be associated with the Heythrop Hunt, encouraging foxes into a copse by feeding them.
