After multiple episodes of telling your audience that: Light = Love, Goodbye Lara opening on this shot is the kinda of blunt force narrative trauma i can’t help but admire.
It worth praising any show that can completely subvert expectations & debunk a bunch of fan theories on a character in the space of one episode but still fit perfectly into everything thats been laid out before. Goodbye Lara somehow managed that multiple time this week. Shockingly good twists.

I am beginning to feel like the Sunflower Circus production committee must have a grudge against poor Svetlana and Shizuka. The poor girls keep getting their plot beats turned into slide shows.
Lycoris Recoil really felt like a show in search of its identity most of the way through. It want’s us to care about it’s plot, but what we want is to hang out with the gang & we don’t do enough of that. Until it’s mini series, Friends are the Theives of Time. Which gives us plenty of service.
A sincere thank you to Sakugabooru & all its contributors for doing the hard yards yet again to give us a glimpse into the craft behind a show. Funnily it’s still “artist unknown”for *that scene*, but it’s reassuring to know there’s people out there who probably want to know as badly as i do.

I’m really fond of Dara-san of the Reiwa Era’s manga. I’ve always thought the mundane & horror complement each other well. Especially when played for laughs. Its anime adaptation has done a good job of capturing its spirit despite some constraints. Dara’s cool aunt vibe is very much alive & kicking

Every writing work day I open up my document like, I'm fraudulent, I'll never finish this damn scene, I'll never do what I want with it, I've bitten off more than I can chew, I'll never hit my word count goals, and then eventually it's 6PM and everything is fine
