I regret to inform you the tech peeps that stayed on Twitter really did get more radicalised. Dissapointing.
If your president’s reaction to releasing the Epstein files is: “My friends will get hurt” Your president may be connected to a pdfile ring? 🤷♂️
Ooh, nice. Could have used this before
ECMAScript excitement 😉 Congrats to my coworker @ashley-c.bsky.social at TechAtBloomberg on advancing Await Dictionary to Stage 2.7 at TC39 today 🎉 Promise.all returns positional results as an array. Promise.allKeyed allows named results inside an object 👍 github.com/tc39/proposa...

You can achieve the Apple Maps liquid glass sheet behavior easily with @expo.dev, without any overhead or extra library. Let me explain it in a thread 🧵👇
Every single time an LLM hallucinates, I am grateful: Grateful that I spotted it, and thus remind myself that any and all LLM output needs to be validated. You can never trust these things 100%, unless you have additional validation in place that is 100% reliable.
OVER A MILLION USERS DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT EVERY *WEEK* what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market. This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
First conference booth for FullProduct.dev at Tectonic EU tomorrow! Come visit our booth on Nov 5th for a quick chat about: - Starting new projects - Building for Web + the App Stores - The importance of good docs in the AI world #ReactNative #Expo #Startups
The promise of AI chat assistants: they solve 90% of the problems users have (by looking up the docs and telling them) My reality: need to spend 10 minutes trying to get to a human, to solve an issue I need customer support to look into Around minute 8 I sign up to a competitor
God, I wish Affinity had made an After Effects alternative as well
Pretty stoked about the new Affinity app being released: - Basically combines Designer / Photo / Publisher - Fully customizable workspaces - Easier slice exports like in Figma Oh, and entirely free aside from Canva AI features

While I think Liam Hemsworth did a great job portraying Geralt in The Witcher S04, ... ... the writing continues just to be god-awful. A Witcher TV show was never meant to feel like a mediocre superhero show. Netflix really fumbled this entire franchise.
After the AI bubble pops, we should totally reboot Sillicon Valley (The show... and maybe the place while we're at it)
“Developers want websites. Users want mobile apps.” - @benawad.bsky.social
Found a photo of a slide from my first-ever conference talk.
🧠 Choosing Expo isn’t just a technical decision. It's also a business decision. ◆ One team, all platforms ◆ Faster launches, faster learning ◆ OTA updates that compound ◆ Developers who love their tools The combined ROI of these advantages is massive. A customer explains: expo.dev/blog/the-bus...
Expo is more than a dev tool, it's a business strategy
How a technical decision became the foundation for scaling personal growth support to millions.

Potential Bluesky UX improvement: → When searching for a term I have muted, I don't want my search results to protect me from that term (I mute a lot of terms, maybe too many. But when I actively search for them, I do want to see and engage with them.) CC: @pfrazee.com
Was literally thinking ~2 weeks ago how the era of JavaScript frameworks was so much more fun than what the industry is obsessed with now. The JS era was democratic, anyone could invent, innovate. The AI era feels like an oligarchy creating a tragedy of the commons.
We stopped shipping new JavaScript frameworks every week so now I guess we're shipping new AI browsers every week.
Ok, maybe some AI videos are good, actually #TrumpBallRoom

You know, whatever else there is to say about DC comics firing me, I have to say it felt deeply satisfying to tell a suit, "I get it, it's important to keep the faceless mob of Nazis happy"
