I know a lot of people are upset about the ballot initiatives passing but they did not pass by resounding margins for a so-called 80-20 issue. They can be and will be challenged in state court and I believe they will be ruled unconstitutional similar to prop 8.

Honestly in shock. @nytimes.com terminated the contract of romance fiction columnist Olivia Waite because she reposted on Bluesky criticism I and @markjacob.bsky.social had of the paper’s lack of coverage of the new rape allegations against Donald Trump. Details and a statement from Olivia here:

This is not a fair fight. Seriously, watch somebody who thinks he has come up with a "tough" question, and then ... sit back and just watch. (I won't mention one more time what AES has in common with Bill Clinton, Pete Buttigieg, Rachel Maddow, Cory Booker, et al.)
MUST-WATCH: "Until they drive prices UP... Americans aren't complaining right now that prices are too LOW." @AbdulElSayed masterfully schools Bari Weiss' CBS News(max) 60 minutes host @Douthat60 on the problem with living in corporatism, not capitalism - where monopolies & oligopolies reign supreme
And you know what, i actually would love to go to JKR’s bbq and eat her food and drink her booze and call her and her friends fascist scum to her face and recreating my fave dril tweet and turning over the bbq screaming this whole thing smacks of GENDER CRITICAL
A new YouGov poll shows that American voters trust Democrats far more than Republicans on issues related to transgender rights. They prefer the Democratic approach, and Dems should run on their support of equality. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Reading the bombshell article that gave rise to that question would not waste *your* time www.kare11.com/article/news...
Q: If the administration has declared on waste and fraud, could you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, MN, when they company offered it to the state for $75m? BESSENT: I don't know anything about that. That's a waste of our time.
Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.
I think people intuitively understand that democratic candidates tossing trans kids to the wolves is not only morally repugnant but also politically ineffective, otherwise they wouldn't freak out every time someone said they weren't voting for a democrat who did this
To folks who follow me on Bluesky & appreciate the journalism I do. Can you please read the EPA story and post on social media platforms if you are so moved. This kind of work is important. But it only matters if people read it and engage with it. Here's the link. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/24/c...
