Mr Mamdani I have two questions, first is do you believe Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state? and as a follow up to that question... why do you keep talking about Israel...? 🤔
I wake up in my 1984 home. "Good 1984" I say to my wife (heterosexual). "Good 1984" she says back. "What are you reading?" I ask. We both are permitted five banned books to read: 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, and you might guess The Hunger Games. Wrong, it's The Giver.
You all are so goofy thinking Mitch McConnell is "dead," "as a doornail," "deader than a sack of hammers in an industrial press," "literally you wrote his soul is already in hell," all this. No, Mitch McConnell went ghost protocol. Now we wait for him to return having gone beastmode like in the ads.

For the reactionary homosexual, gay rights' premise is to parse gayness to its nucleus and establish such rules as will solve gay rights & make it an open and shut case, a closed history. We may laud the shamelessness of "the fixed reality of gayness." All that threatens must be tamed, fixed.
"Subsuming the fixed reality of gayness under the much more malleable banner of queerness undermines a core premise behind gay rights: that sexual orientation isn’t chosen," Matthew Vines writes.
full pardons for anyone convicted in these nspm 7 convictions should be an express and mandatory part of any democratic platform
Certain sentences look like they were formulated just to be in a sentence diagram. THE GOOSE (noun, subject) Created (simple past tense verb) --> THE VALUE (noun, object) Here, now you try: THE OGRE is IN LOVE with THE PRINCESS
If we place all the extremes on one end of the spectrum and moderation on the other end of the spectrum, then, applying this logic, extremism always makes moderates stronger. Ergo, if we elected Stalin, in a couple years' time, Chuck Schumer would bench press 500 pounds every morning at breakfast
We are witnessing MAGA equivalent of destruction of Democratic Party through election of progressive Socialists. If you think this ends well for country, I believe you're sadly mistaken. Extremism on one side simply fuels opposite growth on other side. We need moderates.
TRUMP: Are there (WHEEZE) none (COUGH) among my... m-my... (COUGH) useless... progeny... (WHEEZE) worthy... (HACK) of the throne? Enter NANCY MACE in pockmarked power armor, her face obscured by a gas mask that emits a noxious sludge and a bevy of flies with each gurgling exhalation or utterance.
Labour is nearing the end of its toryfication. Beautiful to watch transition dreams be lived out
There are a bunch of guys who made comics who are enormous shitheads. The solution is simple, just don't hire them. There are 50 jillion people who would gladly write comics instead. "B-b-b-buhhh but he wrote a comic in the 80s!" Well so did Neil Gaiman, so. :)
So-Called "President" Donald "TRUMP," you have WASTED taxpayer DOLLARS that could have GONE to BUYING FEASTABLES but now we shall STARVE due to your incompetence, SIR!
With $300 billion, we could end homelessness, fund cancer research for 40 years, and give every child free pre-K for over 7 years. Instead, Trump is sending it to Iran. This is not America First. Not even close.
Getting flashbacks to that article in (I forget which UK paper) where an adult son gets a tattoo and the dad is like "woah cool! Does it hurt?" and the mom says "Yes it does, very much!" and runs off and slams the door. Classic comedy
What year is it?
The push to regulate minors out of the public square is demented and the people who are like "let's come up with some commonsense rules that will now apply to adults" are doing exactly the work that the push to regulate minors is supposed to induce, which is very bad
I think it was brave of Bernie Sanders to sit down for an interview while showing clear signs of a severe concussion
If you’re a leftist in the US you need to hold yourself to a standard where you can recognize what Bernie has done for the left in the past but more-so have to recognize that we all need to move so far to the left that Bernie is seen as incredibly & disappointingly moderate
Sorry. Sorry I know he's problematic and his plan for ending all suffering by dumping Nickelodeon slime on the demiurge is kind of himboesque, we're working on his analysis of the twelve links, but I promise his heart is in the right place! And, and. He's really tall & has broad shoulders, so.

Wired's contributions to society at large have been, off the top of my head: - Coining "new atheism" - Half inventing tech bros by treating the Palo Alto pud-pullers as legitimately on a kind of religious mission - Treating Second Life as though it really is Snow Crash
Love it or hate it, AI has been embraced by corporate America. You might not be able to stop your boss from demanding that you use it, but you can try to understand its promise and its limitations. As we like to say here at WIRED: AI or Die Trying!
There’s a guy, great king, incredible king. Prester John. Scepter made of emeralds. Descended from the Maggie. Sent me a letter, beautiful letter, tears in his eyes. Begged me to let him help open the strait, big strong guy. I’m giving Iran 24 hours to comply or, Prester John, I might tell him yes.
I feel very vindicated in my repeated assertion that Nancy Mace is maybe the best American transphobe to ever do it. Making a brand out of being photographed in front of women's restrooms like she's being featured in Architectural Digest is incredible. An honor to have a hater this funny
Over on Twitter, Nancy Mace bragged that she is the most anti-trans member of Congress. Bragging about being the most extreme bigot is wild. People keep responding by pointing to an old tweet of hers from 5 years ago where she said she was pro-LGBTQ. Seems like such a funny fact check in there.
to perhaps expand on this, the questions when we're told our central nervous systems construct our perception of 'reality' from limited data are (1) then how do we know our cns & the data exist independent of our perceptions (2) where do we fix the limits of our perceptual apparatus—
—eg if the visual cortex is part of it, the optical nerve is part of it, and the eye is part of it, then why not the ray of light that strikes the eye? and if so, why not the object it was reflected off of? and if so, why not the light source? etc
