Best urban bin solution I ever saw was Rotterdam. You have what looks like an average street bin sitting on a sturdy steel platform. The bin drops waste down into a steel box which sits beneath street level. For collection, a Crane pulls the box out of its hole and empties the lot into a truck.

This imax lark might be a bit of a swizz. I'm pretty sure the old screen in Castlebar, (before they ultimately subdivided the cinema into 3 screens) was as big as this, same with the Claddagh Palace in Galway, or Screen 1 in the Savoy in Dublin. But the seating and the leg room, is generous.
