Conjured Ink Collective - Open Collective

We're a collective of creatives, developers, and others who are working towards creating processes, protocols, and software for indie creation.

Hi all! After our initial round of hirings, we are now opening applications for the Creative Circle! We're looking for any creatives who earn money through their work and who want to have a say in our collective. Sound like you? Sign up with this form:

Creative Circle Application

Conjured Ink is seeking out creatives and sellers to be part of our Creative Circle. We’re looking for people who will use our product as a part of their business, and who want to make a difference in online creative communities and fight censorship through open-source software.

For folks who want to 👀 what we've been doing with all these generous donations, we've published an update on our OpenCollective that you can check out on our OpenCollective! It goes over everything you've made possible + our future direction—thank you!

Thank you so much for helping us reach our initial funding goals! - Conjured Ink Collective

Thanks to all y'all, we've been able to reach our (initial!) funding goal of $500/mo, with an added bonus of a $200/mo corporate sponsorship from Elide. In the meantime, we're also looking at applying grants to help support our development...

I’m gonna boost this again cause we really haven’t gotten very many applications but we could really really use the engineering help esp if you’re an experienced Rust dev Having a set of folks who are willing and able to commit to just 5 hours a week would make a world of difference for the project

We're looking for dev volunteers as part of our Sand Witch Circle—experienced engineers who care about fast, efficient software and making the best of the Web as part of our mission to help online creative communities and fight censorship. Apply here:

This is y'all's chance to work on a webapp where the whole point of using Rust isn't to scale up—it's to scale DOWN. 6k reqs/s on a sub-US$30 machine is no joke. And it's a hard copyleft ecosystem that we're going to protect for the folks who rely on us! Let's do open source right.

Hey all, Ana has been a wonderful supporter of our project and is exactly the kind of creator Conjured is intended to support. We don't have something ready quite yet that can help now, but YOU can support her directly on SubscribeStar and help her out of a bad pinch. Every bit helps!!

Some of you may know that I had a less-successful attempt at a platform some years back with Banchan Art (think VGen, if it were a co-op owned by the artists themselves), and one of the Big Lessons is that you kinda need money to make money to make the company stay afloat and on-mission. Hence :)

Our goal is to have employees! With benefits! Being fiscally sponsored by Open Source Collective means we can do things like health insurance for folks paid 30hr+ (full time). Please boost and share. We'll continue operating with open books so you can see where the money's flowing.

Y'all's donations are letting us compensate folks for some of their work, especially folks in need who do work that's not typically done as volunteer work (like open source work. Cause let's be real, FOSS people love giving away our labor).

What emotions do y'all use as emote bases? What are your favorite emotes?? I WANT EMOTE IDEAS FOR @conjured.ink 's DISCORD SERVER!!! We're gonna be hosting an emote event where you bring YOUR OCs to our emote section, and I'd love to know what your priorities are!

Hey, I have a question for y'all: Conjured Ink is a p2p e-commerce shop that focuses on the internet of consent. Our mission is to provide decentralized, open source software to help you sell your wares in a censorship-resistant space. What features in a space like that are important to you?

Exciting news, everyone! As Conjured Ink nears its first beta, we'd like to share with you our roadmap of updates for the next two quarters. These quality of life and system changes will help pave the way for what we hope to become: a home for your incredible works! Thank you!
