Whether or not ppl cutting off their parents is an actual phenomenon (is it, really?) or just clicky outrage bait, anti-estrangement is a paternalistic, socially regressive position — it’s so similar to being anti-divorce that the two are virtually indistinguishable.

The refusal to even put her in a male ward should really illustrate to cis people that even if sex was binary and immutable (which it is not), what GCs and other transphobes want is not about strictly adhering to one's assign sex at birth. It's about wanting trans people to die in isolation.

Lukewarm gender take: Having a different gender identity online is a form of social transition, if it is motivated by self-identification. This take will be treated as if it were thermonuclear by those who insist that you have to do something “material” in order to be trans.

Needless to say, transmedicalism is utter bullshit, for a whole buncha reasons. Trans people are trans people whether or not they are transitioning, full stop.

Is simple: the enemies of transmascs declare them defective women and girls. The "allies" of transmascs "affirm" their gender by denying that systemic gendered harm can target them as systemic gendered harm cannot target men and boys, which they are. Thus, it becomes a forbidden subject.
