A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. That’s what I think of when I read about data centers.

Hello! Akira here. How We Made the Moon Cry is currently live on Kickstarter, and we still have a significant journey ahead of us. I would like to address a curious inquiry regarding our reward tiers: "Why are there so few extras?" The short and simple reason is moneyt As an indie publisher, each additional item, whether a bookmark or an alternative cover, increases production, procurement, and shipping costs. These additions necessitate a much higher funding goal as well. While I would enjoy offering a wider variety of prints, stickers and bonuses, my priority is ensuring the project remains sustainable by focusing our budget on artist and book designer costs. The book itself is the highlight of this Kickstarter and represents the culmination of everyone's hard work. We have approximately 20 days remaining in the campaign and around $6k to reach. We need your continued support during this final stretch to ensure this project reaches the finish line. Every pledge brings us closer to making this book a reality!
