Semana Internacional thoughts: -Perverse thrill to see a NJ Strong tag title defense, not to mention HoT w/out Togo, but it's still Yujiro out there. -Soberano needs no plants to get besos. -Titan remains hugely underrated outside lucha circles. Always works hard & makes young guys look great.

People talk a lot about the causes of declining birth rates, but it's really simple. People used to need enough kids to put on a touring Shakespeare production - maybe six, even eight. But with the rising popularity of Samuel Beckett? Two is sufficient.
Random G1 thoughts: -Moloney's match with Wolf was better than Uemura's match with Wolf. -Tsuji/Oiwa is my MOTT thus far, just edging out Take/Oleg. -By and large I liked Tsuji/Ice but have about a dozen matches ranked higher. -Moloney/Uemura's my pick for most underrated match, at least per CM.
Have we considered the possibility that Willow was simply Jeff Hardy's very poor attempt at a Rozz Williams impression?
Watching El Phantasmo wrestle in Van for the gazillionth time and I can't decide whether to boo him cuz of the Jake Lee match or cheer him cuz of the Fletcher one.
You have a month to write a 33 1/3 book about the album of your choice. Which record are you going to write about? (No previously covered albums allowed; new shit must come to light: see below.) (For all books in the series: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/33_1/3) (H/t @monostich.bsky.social

I’m sorry if this sounds smug but I don’t care anymore: I would like to be wrong and surprised once. Just ONCE. It’s exhausting to expect the worst and RECEIVE IT again and again 🫤

G1 season is here! @karensensei.bsky.social and I kick off @postwrestling.com's coverage with a review of last night's show in Chicago. We talk Wrestle Kingdom rematches, the spread of young(ish) talent across both blocks, and which G1 competitor would be well served by a jaunt over to JCW.

An immortal highspot. The drag equivalent of Elix Skipper's cagewalk rana.
RIP Bonnie Tyler. And RIP Tandi Iman Dupree. This remains the best stage entrance by a drag queen of all time, even some 25 years later, and the best use of Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” ever. youtu.be/IHQA5vqn6rw?...
Just finished watching a whole slew of Akira Hokuto for a @postwrestling.com episode later this month. Pumped to talk some Dangerous Queen with the lads.
My therapist: "....I see. And is this 'surplus value' in the room with us right now?"
Fantastic stuff from both women. Everyone in my group living and dying with those closing minutes.
Ok, I think there's more of a chance that SLK wins this than most are giving credit for.
Felt great to get out and join this today. People old and young in our city standing up for jobs, the environment, and the human spirit.
My dad had never seen "The Long Good Friday" so that was our Father's Day watch. Still an effectively perfect movie, an underrated source of inspiration for "The Sopranos" (especially in its humour), and good lord Francis Monkman's prog-giallo-disco score crushes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB98...

In terms of cross-promotional intrigue and engagement, the Thekla/SLK program is by far the best built program in Forbidden Door's history. Danielson/Okada, Mox/Naito, and maybe Mone/Vaquer would be distant runners up. Says a lot about its failure to capitalize on its concept over five years.
Made out like a bandit. Very well curated stuff from loads of the Euro labels I love but can't pull the trigger on shipping. Big swathes of techno and ambient, too.
