Again, this is one big reason why I say I don't ever want Square Enix touching Xenogears outside of just making more action figures with Ishigaki and Tanaka. They've lost their Sakaguchis & Takahashis, this is no longer a company I want remaking something like this.
It doesn't need to be 4-5 games. Don't make everything on the same scale as FF7R. Don't focus on going 1000% on all the bells & whistles of this era's realism. Focus on 2D & 2D-3D games again. Stop trying to make everything with a AAAA budget, it doesn't need it. Indie studios prove it can be done.
