At the end of the year I plan to quit my job and do school full-time because the Big Beautiful Bill majorly cut my tuition assistance as a halftime student, and I'm terrified because I don't know how much money I'll get to replace my income or how consistent it'll be.

I was never taught about Ruby Bridges in school. Oddly enough, I learned about her via Norman Rockwell's painting, "The Problem We All Live With".

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜
