Based at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, we study how DNA affects its own replication. www.CosterLab.com

Read our latest work - a comprehensive review on how DNA secondary structures affect replication. Very proud of Adi, Maria and Billie for their monumental effort. They've covered a large body of literature while proposing updated models. Open Access in DNA Repair: doi.org/10.1016/j.dn...

How DNA secondary structures drive replication fork instability

🎉🎊 Happy to share that I have been awarded Tenure and academic promotion to Reader (=Associate Professor) at the ICR. Very grateful to all current and past lab members, as well as my supervisors and mentors along the years.

Reached my last stop in Japan - Tokyo! Amazing views from the 450m-high Skytree tower with clear visibility to Mount Fuji over 100km away. Enjoying the contrast of tradition and order during the day, with the vibrant and non-stop nightlife.

Very excited - on my way to Fukuoka in Japan (first time), for the 3R+3C conference. Really looking forward to meeting old and new colleagues. Quite amusingly, saw a store at the Seoul airport called MCM. I'm sure I'll hear more about MCMs during the conference 😂
