Bit of hobby time today. Finished basing the latest batch of civilians. Five Midlam and a random priest. And started on a load of Eureka figures. #wargaming

Wargamer lacking in focus with too many projects on the go and too many unfinished and unplayed. Wargaming on and off since the 70s. My blog: https://blog.belisarius.org.uk Whitley Bay, UK
Back from holiday and back to painting ww2 British infantry! That’s the last 10 now done. Only the support weapons to paint sometime!!!
Well then, I actually managed to paint something for myself in this crappy heat 😬 Just a few skaven that were actually started a couple of months ago (before it started to burn). At least the varnish went off quickly 😂 #oshiromodels #wargaming #nerdlings #oldhammer
Ancient Warfare, a magazine loved for nearly 20 years, is seeking a new editor. Dive into its history and find out how to apply for this unique opportunity. https://bit.ly/4buAgGL
And today's hobby activity... Prep some more steel bases. Apply varnish to figures finished yesterday. Started looking at Eureka civilians. And added a parasol to a random figure I found that was missing one. Hopefully will look OK when painted. #wargaming
After walk along coast on to Bay Games for the weekly Pocket Midgard game. I joined Norm's Dark Elves to face Lawrence and Rhod with Orcs and Goblins. A very bloody and very close battle with the greenskins barely edging a win. Good fun as ever...
A few quick posts coming up... Start with today's walk. Bus to Blyth then walked back along coast to Seaton Sluice, quick drink in the King's Arms, then rest of way into Whitley Bay. Nice group to walk with. Tide quite low. Finally saw Blyth Battery!
It’s that time of year to pop over to greatwargamingsurvey.com and fill in the questionnaire!
Here’s a reel designed to get you either into your painting chair, or on your feet! Inspired by dance music maestro Calvin Harris.
That there lockscreen posting thing again. I've just changed mine for the first time in years... #wargaming #lockscreen
Bit of running around today. Shopping for me and the kids. So not much hobby time. But I did finish the current 6 figures on the go. All but one from Midlam. Varnish and basing tomorrow once I've prepped some more steel bases. #wargaming
Out and about today. Walk at Bolam Lake. Then to Alnwick to pick up daughter and friend who'd been to a screening of Star Wars at the castle. They took a picnic blanket and struggled to see over everyone sitting on chairs. Too small screen and iffy sound. Hobby: bit more colour added. #wargaming
Proof of (hobby) life: it's a very Foggy Isles kind of day here and I'm recovering after the professional shenanigans of the past fortnight, so the Oldhammer Rebasing Project commences while I listen to Patrick Tull read 'Master and Commander'. #oldhammer #theoldworld #wip #dragonrampant #warhammer
Today I have been a likely lad and taken a trip out to Bolam Lake. Always a pleasant little walk...
I'm partially repainting my village board terrain to give it a little more of a "pirate port town" vibe. #Warhammer #AgeOfSigmar #Turnip28 #MoonstoneTheGame #Warcry

Final stage of tidying. And now we come to the citizens of Altefritzenburg! The common men and women, the various professionals, militia, town watch, shopkeepers, drunkards, duellists, nobles and all in between. I should probably stop painting civilians soon... Maybe... #wargaming

That’s us set up at Claymore. The Battle of Grocka 1739, Austrians v Ottomans. Lust for Glory rules in 28mm.
For everyone who may first have heard of me via my little audio ads on the Meeples & Miniatures show & then View from the Veranda, this is a heavy nostalgia hit just for you – and of course, the Colonel and the Major as you have never seen them before! 😉 With big hugs to @neilthedwarf.bsky.social
1/4 Today's hobby update is a THREAD... No painting DONE today. But when wanting to store the recently sorted Devilry Afoot stuff I realised I needed another RUB insert so made up another of the ones from Commission Figurines...lined with magnetic sheet as usual. #wargaming
[Thread] Yesterday I posted some pics of my very recently completed SYW project. 630 28mm figures, mostly from Crusader. Long term viewers may remember that I used some Volleyfire LED strips from Warlord Games to make an example musketry volley signifier. Anyway, things have degraded.
Today is my birthday (turning 30), which is the only time each year when I ask you for a repost should you like my art. Have a good day! 🦦🌿✨️ - Simon
It isn't yet the end of the week, but who doesn't want some more good vibes around the place? Do me a little favour! Quote this post with something you've painted that you're proud of, or you just really like. Doesn't have to be your best, just something that makes you smile when you see it!
