Day 16 of No Shame Painting Having shamed myself with yesterday's photos decided to try to make a better stage so to speak. BEF Boys teams and a Lewis Gunner to finish off. Thoughts on the set up ? Any tips or advice? #spreadthelard #wargaming

I flocked up the 3mm Viking camp and it’s now looking really nice. I love the way the base tells a story and feels alive.
After walk along coast on to Bay Games for the weekly Pocket Midgard game. I joined Norm's Dark Elves to face Lawrence and Rhod with Orcs and Goblins. A very bloody and very close battle with the greenskins barely edging a win. Good fun as ever...
And today's hobby activity... Prep some more steel bases. Apply varnish to figures finished yesterday. Started looking at Eureka civilians. And added a parasol to a random figure I found that was missing one. Hopefully will look OK when painted. #wargaming
Bit of running around today. Shopping for me and the kids. So not much hobby time. But I did finish the current 6 figures on the go. All but one from Midlam. Varnish and basing tomorrow once I've prepped some more steel bases. #wargaming
Proof of (hobby) life: it's a very Foggy Isles kind of day here and I'm recovering after the professional shenanigans of the past fortnight, so the Oldhammer Rebasing Project commences while I listen to Patrick Tull read 'Master and Commander'. #oldhammer #theoldworld #wip #dragonrampant #warhammer
Just gone over 200 subscribers on YouTube !!! Really happy with that and very grateful to everyone who has liked / followed / subscribed on all my socials!
Out and about today. Walk at Bolam Lake. Then to Alnwick to pick up daughter and friend who'd been to a screening of Star Wars at the castle. They took a picnic blanket and struggled to see over everyone sitting on chairs. Too small screen and iffy sound. Hobby: bit more colour added. #wargaming

After all the sorting etc today just a bit of red and black work earlier on the Midlam figures. Now preparing curry and moving from Cava to vodka... #wargaming
Final stage of tidying. And now we come to the citizens of Altefritzenburg! The common men and women, the various professionals, militia, town watch, shopkeepers, drunkards, duellists, nobles and all in between. I should probably stop painting civilians soon... Maybe... #wargaming
Anyone in the Southend / south Essex area, this store opens today! Great to see a new local store open that has tables available for gaming. Looking forward to visiting next week when I’m back in Southend!
2/4 With the table cleared I dug out the relatively few C17th skirmish and civilians I have... Needless to say I have a lot more in the lead pile... #wargaming
4/4 And having packed away the ecclesiastical mob and the pirates... I found more pirates and another priest... A return to painting tomorrow while I start sorting the main C18th civilians... Of which there are a few... #wargaming
3/4 And the it was the turn of the assorted Ottoman and Turkish Pirate types I have along with a couple of guns that will live with them until I can sort my main Ottoman storage... #wargaming
1/4 Today's hobby update is a THREAD... No painting DONE today. But when wanting to store the recently sorted Devilry Afoot stuff I realised I needed another RUB insert so made up another of the ones from Commission Figurines...lined with magnetic sheet as usual. #wargaming
It isn't yet the end of the week, but who doesn't want some more good vibes around the place? Do me a little favour! Quote this post with something you've painted that you're proud of, or you just really like. Doesn't have to be your best, just something that makes you smile when you see it!

I posted the British banner but thought I should show off all three together! Ok I know the British & Hungarians didn’t carry banners into battle and no they don’t have any rules in bolt action but i think they look good and add something a bit different to the game!!!
Using these paint pens is really playing into my new motto of 'Good Enough'. These aren't my best, but I did them all in a few days, mostly with cheap acrylic pens. Also, shoutout to @handiworkgames.bsky.social for an insanely quick replacement for a kickstarted background book!
Bit of a busy day today and not much hobby achieved. Just got the flesh done on the next Midlam Miniatures. Still need to make a plan. Still need to tidy. Still...lots of things.... #wargaming
A day of walking again. Tired. Managed a game of Pocket Midgard at Bay Games. Our Goblins were just edged out for an Elf victory... At least I think it was close with 33 points for the Elves at the end... Most entertaining. And primed some more Midlam Miniatures. #wargaming #midgardheroicbattles
Not much hobby output this week, instead I’ll be sat in the sun on Fuerteventura reading this!! Back to painting next week though!!!
A moderately unproductive day for lots of reasons (mostly kids...) so just managed an hour or so attic time this evening. Two figures basically finished. Other three still WIP. Hopefully finish them tomorrow. #wargaming
For Sale: Norse Mythology. These are the remaining painted miniatures for sale at a bargain price. Gods £10 each and dragoons £20 each.
A couple of plastic trucks from Amazon/Temu painted as generic German transports. Added some seated troops in the back which came from a warlord games frame I picked up ages ago!
A bit of a recovery day today. Too much wine last night... Finished the basing on the last two completed figures. Made some progress on the other Midlam Miniatures. Still a ways to go...
