The voters who intentionally refused to do the right thing really don't want to admit how much permanent damage they did it's literally impossible for Democrats or anyone else to ever undo. Lives that can't be brought back, land that can't be restored, experiments and projects that can't be revived.
Every time the "why should we just forgive student loans?" question comes up, the answer will always be "Because you promised them jobs & careers that would pay them off and then destroyed the economy, job market, and careers they went to school for right as they graduated and we never recovered."
Jessica Ellis@baddestmamajama.bsky.social · 6d agoI feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.
Apparently the latest sleezy art trend is right wing engagement bait by design. Do not engage. Don't comment, don't like, don't retweet, don't quote, don't fight people in the comments and for the love of God don't harass people. If you don't like it, mute it, if you do, keep it to yourself.

What I'm not loving about modern internet is whenever a character does something gender non-conforming, now they're an egg waiting to crack and need to be sorted into another box. What's wrong with a guy wanting to wear cute clothing, or a girl wanting to dress like a man? Persona 4 explored this.

We're all that frog in the boiling water. This morning when I awoke the total enormity of what has happened to us and our nation hit me like a brick without any protective numbness. I hope that every American voter truly understands that Republicans must be cleansed from our nations government.

There are valid political criticisms of any politician or party. But when you start to say stuff like 'they didn't try hard enough to do X because they didn't REALLY want to do X' all I can think of is Veruca Salt whining in the old Willy Wonka movie

I hate that I'm getting drawn into politics more and more but the election is near so it's kind of hard to avoid. Just keep in mind that Republicans absolutely are using psy-ops to keep you from being united against them. We need to win this one more than any other time in history.
