This is a failure of journalism, on a really basic level, but it is also a failure of political leadership. It was going to fall simply in the basis of what the previous govt did. But Starmer somehow conspired to actively spread the impression it was rising.

Just been to vote. Polling station in a local pub and was empty, just me and my wife. Not sure if that's good or bad. The good news is that we both voted to protect the NHS, local services, SEND services, local care services, local transport and just as importantly keep the fascist grifters out.
