please support ur friends making creative shit in this cruel world. u have no idea how much a kind comment can mean to an artist when every website just tries to make you focus on the numbers

i need people to understand "death of the author" means the author can't dictate what you take away from the text, not that you're not complicit in what they do with the profit they make from you buying it in the first place

Fan tip: Don’t tell someone their idea has been done before. They know or they don’t. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that creator telling it in their own way with their own words and message and point. Everything has been done before. But not by them.

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

"The Guy She was Interested in wasn't a Guy at all" ANIME ADAPTATION CONFIRMED ON THE VOL 3 OBI! GL Romance by Sumiko Arai about a high school girl with a crush on a mysterious shop clerk working at a CD Shop. But what this girl doesn't know is that it is not a guy but a girl she's interested in.

If you are a straight, cis person and you feel that fucking knot in your stomach about what the administration is doing right now to trans people and trans children, you have to at the very fucking least say out loud in front of your friends and peers in real life "this is fucked up."

All I can really say at this point is if everyone isn't watching how trans people have lost basic rights and protections on a scale that hasn't been seen in decades in the span of 72 hours and realizing that even if you aren't trans there's nothing stopping it from happening to you, you're a fool

i'd rather see an amateuristic sketch that tells me something about the human that made it than a fully polished, full color, hyper detailed AI generated image. and i'm sad that more and more artists opt for the latter.
