looking at character design notes for Goodbye Lara and 1) i really appreciate how often the designer and writers have mentioned they directly reference the HCA story and not its derivatives and 2) the note about pants is so funny. lisa becoming high femme because she Hates Legs

Message from Tani the character designer In Andersen's The Little Mermaid, her older sister's exchanged their hair for a dagger, so I thought maybe hair is valuable to mermaids, and so I gave all the mermaids long hair in this work. I made Grace's hair to look like a giant clam, so I thought I'd give Lisa hair that looks like a type of shellfish too. I figured she probably hates that she has two legs, so I avoiding giving her any outfits with pants that you have to put your legs through. That's why she's always wearing a skirt.

Ignoring it and not giving it far too much extra exposure is a valid strategy. The bros need outrage and clicks to be part of its narrative of it being everywhere. Jumping on every bloody post like it’s the end times helps the tech not you or artists. Engage with the real art not the fake crap.
