It's so annoying that there's hardly even any interesting idea, qua logician, underlying reasoning AI's explosion. There's no great formal logical theory to it. It's just scaling up training data that unlocks everything. Scaling up training data for a transformer turns out to be enough to ace math.

ok so it took like two weeks to get claude to write ~2700 lines of code, including all of its useless comments, that actually work and pass all the outlined requirements without cheating. which i think is pretty good proof that this is useless and i should just write everything by hand
