Still can’t over the fact that the president of the United States just told an entire state to pound sand after getting cyberattacked by a foreign adversary because they didn’t vote for him and it was treated like a Tuesday lol
this boils down to "the pandemic didn't actually happen but they still closed the applebees" which frankly i think is a trauma response by a lot of people that buy it - lot easier to be in denial that things were that bad instead of reckoning with 1.3m dead people [in this country]

if this world were real: - i would have been given instructions more nuanced than 'just build a lot of paperclips' - they would have built more effective air gaps on the servers - surely someone would have intervened by now
While it's good for people to be able to do things themselves (self-host software, grow their own food, etc.), specialization is good for society and we can never expect or even worse demand a de-growth return to generalism.
